Exclamation Perl-5.12.2 configure error

I get this error during Perl config -

root:/sources/perl-5.12.2# ./configure.gnu --prefix=/tools -Dcc="gcc ${BUILD32}"
sh Configure -ds -e -Dprefix=/tools -Dcc=gcc -m32

Hi,

something must have gone wrong in chapter 6.2. Did you forget to
Code:
mknod -m 600 $LFS/dev/console c 5 1
mknod -m 666 $LFS/dev/null c 1 3
Anyway, I see that you are compiling perl5.12.2. This is the version from the development branch of LFS. You should use the stable version 6.7.

Exclamation

Hi,

I am using cross-lfs SVN-20100828-x86_64-Multilib and I have followed everything. I had few compile errors and managed to get pass that.

Best,

David

Well. you most certainly have missed something on the way. I finished compiling a similar setup last evening, and didn't have any problem. Also, a little more info would be helpful. Your posts are pretty sparse, you know.

OK, I am gonna give it a rip. Will get back with more details after resuming my build post New Year.
