At first glance it looks like something went wrong with the Fcntl part.

Are you sure this step was done correctly:

sh Configure -des -Dprefix=/tools -Dstatic_ext='Data/Dumper Fcntl IO POSIX' (that is not a one [1] but a lowercase el [l] on the end on Fcntl).

And like the chapter states: Only part of Perl was built and running make test now will cause the rest of Perl to be built as well, which is unnecessary at this point.. You can skip the test, but the rest of the commands should not give any errors.

Urgent you say, has to be done by tomorrow .... Good luck with that!

You did mention this before: so even make install shows error....... So you cannot continue with the rest of the packages, you need to resolve this problem first.

BTW: Use normal English, do not use texting/tweet/whatever speak. It is very annoying! It is hard enough to understand each other when half the board wasn't brought up with English as their first language.

The step I asked about (sh Configure -des -Dprefix=/tools -Dstatic_ext='Data/Dumper Fcntl IO POSIX') was be done in chapter 5, not 6. You cannot just add parts of chapter 5 to chapter 6.

I have the feeling something went wrong in chapter 5, which comes back to bite you in chapter 6.

Try a clean sheet first: Remove the complete perl source directory, unpack the source again, apply the patches etc, etc.
If that doesn't work you need to go back to chapter 5........
