Hi, I am planning on intergrating a GNOME package to my XFCE desktop.
I have installed network-manager-applet with its dependencies
(I got polkit-gnome, gsetting-desktop-schema, and libgnome-keyring).

It doesn't run, the only thing I see is that the polkit-gnome I
installed doesn't even know what session it is in.

Has anyone encounter this problem?

What do you mean it doesn't run? How exactly did you try to run it? From the command-line?
