live cd question before i consider LFS

1st, compliments for realizing what you had done.

2nd, how about re-posting as a solved problem:
  • Your problem,
  • Your solution,
  • And, perhaps most interesting, how you found the answer on your own.
This could help both those w/ the same problem, as well as show folks how to help themselves.

Just a thought, if you have the time & inclination.
