Talking linux-libc-headers-2.6.8.1 trouble

I'm trying to install LFS 6.0. Everything seams to be going just fine untill i come to the linux-libc-headers install for the first pass. For all of the MAKE commands i get the same error. For instance, and i'm sorry that i don't remember the exact error message. but for any of these commands i get the same error message:

make mrproper

make include/linux/version.h

make include/asm

The message that i receive is that there is nothing for MAKE to do. Again sorry i don't remember the exact message. COuld someone please offer any suggestions.

well everyone i figured out my own problem. I think another prerequisite of building LFS should be to be able to read. My whole problem is because i was rushing through things, and didn't rear what i was doing carefully. Sorry for wasting your time guys.
