Linux from CD
Can somebody guide met to some webpages which might help me in making my own "boot off the disk" distro.

I'm not sure of any webpages, but the concept is the same, never the less. You simply need to archive the LFS file system in its entirety, and burn it to a disk. Then, (iffy) you need to build an application that acts as the installer. It will also have to edit several configuration files, such as the entries for on what partition LFS will be.
As far as I know, you could probably get all this information right from any of the current distros out...since they should be OpenSource compliant. Simply get one of the ISOs they provide, extract it, and examine how it works.

check out Rock Linux, it is a distribution build "kit". Has specific info in the handbook in reagrds to making your distro and copying/making bootable cd for installation.
