Lilo vga mode

Hey if I want to change the vid mode that lfs boots into will I just need to change the vga= line in the lilo.conf for lfs?
Cause I was thinking it would use the original distro lilo.conf so it wouldn't set the vid mode..
I've got the original distro set to 771 and wanted lfs to be in the same.
So would changing the liloconf on the lfs partition do it or do I need vid drivers for lfs first? (I havent done much with it (lazy bastard) yet..

annnd..
for some bizar reason I still get the net-pf-5 error on boot up (its in the faq) even after I've aliased it to the modules.conf, depmod'd and even went as far as it add it to kernel then recompile..alas..
What the most likely mistake I made that I prolly shoulda thought about ages ago?

I've also decided that my little world of OS's will now be based on cars..easy to pick out a car and relate it to the OS..tho dunno any car as crappy as an ms one..

Enable "VGA selection" support, or something called like that (can't remember the exact option). You might need Framebuffer too if that's what you used to use.

About the net-pf errors. If the aliasing doesn't work, then either disable the kernel auto module loader feature, or create those modules that it wants (refering to IPX and some other).
