LFS book not good? Your joking right? Its probably the easiest, most precise and accurate documentation for LFS since the guy who created LFS writes that book, step by step from the steps he takes to build LFS.

HUH, bugs??

Tricky is right, The LFS book was written specifically for the LFS project.
Look I also had problems with LFS 5.0, but I managed to find ways to "make" it work.
this is "open source"........so, you can edit any and all of the "makefiles" or other scripts to
get them to work!! I had fun "de-bugging" the LFS scripts, it also helped me learn more about
LFS as a whole............

Trust me, editing makefiles isn't voodo. I'm not in any way an ubergeek, but when I had a problem with a makefile, all it took was a text editor and a quick scan through of the man pages to sort it out.

Just look for the line causing the error message, see what that line is trying to do, see what it needs to do instead, and correct it. It's just a glorified shell script, when all's said and done..
