LFS leaves system in weird state
I can't figure this one out.
Every time that I leave LFS (4.1) and go back to host distro (Debian) the mouse won't work in Debian and I have to reboot again. I have noticed that every time I leave LFS, when the BIOS is doing it's thing, a couple of items have "different" IRQ's than normal, and it says something to the effect of "updating ESCD. . .success". When it says that, if I immediately do a ctrl-alt-del, then Debian will work right. If I don't, the mouse will be hosed and X will not start.
If I just go from Debian and reboot back into Debian, there is no problem. And I honestly haven't tried going from LFS to LFS.
I used the same .config file to compile the kernel in both distro's. The only thing I changed from the LFS book, is that I used the 2.4.21 kernel source. AND I am using a framebuffer console (1024x768 - in lilo.conf "vga=791"). I have started into BLFS a little (xfree86-4.3, wmaker, mozilla-firebird,gpm,etc), before I noticed this problem.
Anyone have any suggestions???
