Lfs Iso?

I'm thinking about starting an LFS project. I don't know too much about it but I was just wondering if it's possible, once it's complete, to create a bootable and installable iso with this so I can pass it over to friends?

If you want to make it installable you'l have to write some installing program.
Don't bother.
Just tar whole LFS system and burn it on CD's.
On your friends machine, make a partition and untar it. After that just install GRUB.
This is not so simple as you could think. You must compile kernel to support a vast number of hardware configurations.

Better yet teach yourself the challenge of preparing for an install by going to your friends house, looking up the details of the CPU, the NIC, onboard sound, graphics board, printing, usb devices, etc. Then compile a customed kernel, tar the system, and give them a new disk that will work wonders for them!

Of course the system that you compiled probably had flags for your cpu chip. The only concern then is whether or not their machine is fast enough to use your LFS system.
