LFS guides/manuals

I read the LFS manual and I thought it was not in depth enough. Are there other documents that can supplement the manual?

Thanks in advance!

Did you read all 5 books plus the hints plus the wiki? What exactly are you looking for - the only other supplemental reading (once you've also read the relevant man files) would be to get books on specific subjects - terminal coding, the kernel and so on.

I read most of ( LFS-BOOK-7.0.pdf ) plus an earlier one and I would have to say that they resemble a lab experiment with no class study. I was just wondering if there where other guides/tutorials that the LFS community used that are not all that obvious or easy to find.:hattip: I just found the hints docs and will give those a try.

Thanks for the suggestions!

The whole point of the book(s) is to walk you through setting up and installing a system entirely from scratch. I recall, from a long time ago, that the books were meant to give you a start point and you could either follow the instructions or take instructions and use them as a jumping off point for your own research. All that said, I have never built LFS because it looks like a lot of hard work to me! I much prefer a system that does the hard stuff for me :)
