lfs gcc compilation hangs xubuntu in virtual box

I am using xubuntu in virtual box to build lfs , while gcc compilation the system ie xubuntu hangs . Pls help

What version of the book are you using, what chapter are you on, we can't help without at least basic information.

Sorry Guys couldn't reply was busy . I am working on LFS 7.8 stable . I figured out the problem it was happening due low ram , I gave swap space and it works fine now .
