LFS 7.9: "error: unknown filesystem" upon booting

I have just finished up my set up for LFS 7.9. Upon rebooting, GRUB loads and I have the ability to select my new build. However, once selected, I get:
Code:
error: unknown filesystem.
I am not sure what to do as Google hasn't been much aid. I am using GRUB 2.02, Kernel 4.4.2, and have EXT4 filesystem.

***EDIT***
I was able to go into a limited CLI, ran ls -l and got the following:
Code:
grub> ls-l
Device proc: Filesystem type procfs - Sector size 512B - Total size 0KiB
Device hd0: No known filesystem detected - Sector size 512B - Total size 8217247.5KiB
Partition hd0,msdos3: Filesystem type ext* - Label 'LFS' - last modification [output omitted]
Partition hd0,msdos2: No known filesystem detected [output omitted]
Partition hd0,msdos1: Filesystem type ext* - [output omitted]
I omitted output such as sector start and size. I am unsure why my partitions are listed as hd0,msdos*.

It appears I did not configure my grub.cfg file correctly. I was able to get in and look at it, and it is pointing all over the place. I am going to go in froma live CD and see if I can fix it that way. Just wanted to post what I found in case anyone else has this issue.
