LFS 6.4 Chapter 6.14 GCC-4.3.2 Could anyone confirm this for me.

The make -k check finished with an error code of 2 and stated cannot make check-target.

However when I checked ../gcc-4.3.2/contrib/test_summary against the 073-gcc log file on the LFS website I had exactly the same passes, successes and failures.

So could anyone confirm for sure that it is okay to continue?

Thanks

If you have any errors, and you will with gcc, the test suite will exit with Error 2 and fail to make check-target. You need to look at each of the unexpected failures and determine they may indicate a problem. If there are more than a two or three, you're definitely going to have problems. If there are only a couple, you need to determine what caused them (slow machine caused the test to time out, etc.). Without knowing which tests failed and why, no one can really tell you if it is OK to continue.

Thanks for the info. I have found out since that as the errors I got exactly match those of the 073-gcc log I can continue with my build and so far without any problems.
