LFS 6.3: After chroot in ch 6 grep is not in path

I was about to configure glibc for compilation and found out that typing 'grep' gives me 'command not found' even though grep is in /bin.
I guess that has something to do with the +h option and bash not hashing.
But now the configuration of glibc gives me an error.

Is it normal that 'grep' gives 'command not found' in chapter 6?

Grep is part of chapter 5 so no, it is not normal that 'grep' gives 'command not found'.
After chapter 5, Grep is installed in /tools/bin
try:
echo $PATH
/tools/bin should be in $PATH env var. If it is not go back to:
6.4 Entering the CHROOT environment. That command sets the PATH env var for the chroot root user.
Hope this helps.
