LFS 5.8.1 Libstdc++ - mkdir -v build

[SOLVED]
Hello All, I got my way through to chapter 5 (more specifically 5.8.1), this is where I am having my problem. In that section it says that libstdc++ is in the gcc therefore no tar ball to extract. Then it says to change to the gcc-7.2.0 directory , which I did then it says to mkdir -v build. But there is already a build directory from the compilation of gcc itself. No errors up to this point.
Thank you in advance.

[EDIT]: What the book doesn't tell you is that there is a libstdc++ directory. Silly mistake on my part Lol

Ohh Ok I see that now. Can you explain why they do that because to me it looks like your deleting the work the configure, make and make install files just did?

To make sure there,s no stale files left around from an old build. You always start with a fresh build enviroment. Even if a build fails you should remove the untar dir and untar again.
