I know, I already heard. I'm halfway done installing now. :)

I installed LFS5-pre3, then I visited web site for hints, and saw 5.0 final release announcement :)

i just got my other system reinstalled and repartitioned from scratch. windows xp (because of the kids), mandrake and slackware now all share an 80 gig drive and there's still plenty of room left over for a couple of other distributions. i hear vectorlinux is like a souped up slackware and installs in a blink. however i'm wondering if linuxfromscratch might be a better learning experience for me.

i am thankful i did not stay with mandrake (as wonderful as it is, i need to learn the foundation) however it's a good luxery for desktop apps. something tells me, i'm going to be doing so more realtime applications with the military, knowing "linux from scratch" could be most advantageous for that

thanks tricky for pointing the site out
