Lfs 4.0


I need the lfs 4.0, but int the ftp from linuxfromxcratch is not available, can someone say me where can find it?

Any particular reason you're looking for such an old version?

i think mi computer does not support a new one!!!

Why's that? What's the specs on it? Even if it's a low-spec machine, it should be able to handle the new LFS. Just don't put a whole bunch of large packages (like GNOME or KDE, instead use a window manager like fluxbox) on it when you get to BLFS.

OKs!!!

Then i can build my LFS with the Mandrake 10 distribution using a Pentium III 512 Mhz & 128 Mb in RAM with no problem???

I already have LFS 5, 6.0( files and books), but, there is a problem of compatibility with Mandrake 10.0??

then something is wrong with your mandrake installation!............I can install LFS 5.0 on an old gateway P3 500mhz box w/ 32 meg video card and 320 megs of RAM.........maybe your mandrake box does not have all the Gcc package installed.........
