lfs-11 glib meson fail
Successfully built lfs-11 and want to install mc file manager using blfs-11 instructions. compiled pcre and trying to compile glib-2.68.4 with meson but failing with these errors:

/usr/bin/meson: line 7: __requires__: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 9: try:: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 10: from : command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 11: except: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 12: try:: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 13: from: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 14: except: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 15: from: command not found
/usr/bin/meson: line 18: syntax error near unexpected token '('
/usr/bin/meson: line 18: 'def importlib_load_entry_point(spec, group, name):'
Never used meson before so no ideas.
