Kernel Installation


I am using kernel-2.4.21

i installed kernel using gcc-2.95.3 as per the cvs version of the book

i did all the configurations and did whatever was their in the book
on the net

now when i run /sbin/lilo -v i get the following message
and then when i did reboot to the system there was no option for the lfs to boot into

I suggest upgrade to Grub. Much easier to manage IMO.

The 5.0-pre2 book has the instructions.

i am using grub only as per the cvs version

both for host as well as lfs

is there a different way to configure grub
