Is JHALFS working in 2022?

I've done a couple of standard LFS builds and was hoping to automate it. But, I've run into a lot of issues trying to get it to build. Admittedly, my Red Hat donor system doesn't provide a lot of updated packages so I've had to build several from source myself, but nothing too egregious. I've had nothing but trouble and have not been able to get the build to progress past the first pass on glibc (and that was after manually building the first pass of GCC because that was failing as well).

Since JHALFS is poorly documented, and I haven't seen much current content on the internet about it, I figured I should throw out a sanity check - is JHALFS generally functional at present? Thx!

Ah, some random ones. GCC failing to build, claiming it can't find its own tar file (which is present); glibc failing on a message related to selinux.h; etc. I suspect it may just be that I need to build it on a newer OS. I'm gonna take a stab at it on Fedora in a bit and see if that will get it over the hump...
