Question /include/linux/version.h is missing!!!


hi... hey im not sure what is going but when i try
make /include/linux/version.h

i get this
make: *** No rule to make target `/include/linux/version.h'. Stop.

i looked in the folders but i cant find the version.h file...

can u help me with this one???

Umm, you can't 'make' a header file.

To use make you do 'make' from a directory that contains a file called either 'makefile' or 'Makefile'.

What exactly is it you're trying to do?

The command works if you cd into the linux-2.4.22 folder. If you're somewhere else you'll get the error you describe.
