I find LiveCD with Linux-3.5.2 & Please help me!

I'm going to build LFS version 7.2
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/7.2/

I could just find message below which talk about livecd:
http://cross-lfs.org/~kb0iic/livecdupd/

I don't know that should I use it or not?

Replaced 2.6.22.5 kernel with 2.6.39.4 kernel to meet host system requirements (livecd)
Linux-3.5.2 (LFS version 7.2)

Might you give me your advice? Thank you so much!

The liveCD cannot be used to build LFS version 7 or greater (Read this: LFS LiveCD).

The link you posted looks like a special version for CLFS, I wouldn't use it for building LFS.

Can you be more specific? Because my first reaction would be: Build it by starting at page 1 and follow the book to the letter.

Which part are you stuck or having problems with?

You do know that building BLFS has a different approach then building LFS? LFS is relatively simple: Start at the first page of the book and when you reach the last page you are done.

BLFS on the other hand is a collection of package from which you choose those that you want/need (including all the dependencies that are mentioned for that specific package). You don't want/need to build all that is mentioned in the BLFS book.

I found this (http://www.debian.org/CD/live/)

I think that I will use >>debian-live-6.0.5-i386-gnome-desktop.iso to build LFS
(http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/...86/iso-hybrid/)

Can you give me your advice?

I'm sorry! I have mistake with my English. I will build (BLFS http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/) after finish LFS.

What advise are you looking for?

As long as a live CD complies to the Host System Requirements, you are good to go.

Is it really necessary to use a live CD? It does have a few down sides. Here are 2:
- Most live cd's will probably _not_ be compliant. You need to make it compliant again after you stop and shut down your computer,
- At one point you need to create the lfs user. This also needs to be re-done after a shut down/restart.

Can't you use your current distribution to be host for LFS?

I understood. Don't get angry!

I admire you so much!Thank you so much!
