Question How to start Chapter 7 of LFS version 8.3?

I successfully finished Chapter 6 of Linux-From-Scratch-Version8.3 and now getting started with Chapter 7. My question is in which directory do I perform the instructions in Chapter 7 section 7.2 General Network Configuration? Do I still need to be in the source directory?

Thanks all,

You need to be in chroot but the directory doesn't matter because you are no longer unpacking anything. If you read the instructions in 7.2 carefully, you will see that full pathnames are provided for all the configuration files you need to create, precisely so that you do not need to be in a particular place.

This is one of the great advantages of the command line btw. You can always work in a remote directory (in this case /etc) by using full pathnames. You can't do that in a graphical file manager!

Way to go friend,
I would never had made it without help from Hazel,Spiky,Keith and others.
I've learned much from them.
