How to decrease size of a libc-2.5.1.so?
 

Hello! I've vuild LFS 6.2.5, and file libc-2.5.1.so has size 6.7 Mb, but in older versions it is 1.5 mb. Can you help me to optimize it?
(old version has ho unnecessary locales, and here I remove lines from localedata/SUPPORTED, but this doesn't decrease size)

I've installed several distros in our departments.

libc-2.6.1.so (as it is on ours) is no more than 1.4MB

how did you get this libc ?

I've done that what is written at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/...r06/glibc.html , but I've removed locales from localedata/SUPPORTED, and it is 6.7 mb :(

woo hoo, i've done stripping and it is 1.4 Mb!!!
