How do I install LFS over an existing Linux?

Let me explain a little better. I tried using the live cd, but apparently got a corrupted download. I don't really want to download the ISO again, so here's my question. How do I install LFS on an existing partition (with Ubuntu as the host - I happened to have the CD handy), then remove the host OS from that partition? Here's what I mean:
Code:

/dev/hda1 - Windows 98
/dev/hda2 - Ubuntu
/dev/hda2/lfs (or whatever) - Install LFS here

Then remove Ubuntu and move LFS to the root directory, so it looks like:
Code:

/dev/hda1 - Windows 98
/dev/hda2 - LFS

I know Ubuntu probably isn't the best host OS, but if it's really important, I also have Mandrake 10.0 install CDs. The problem is I only have about 4GB for Linux.
