Hi

Yes, Why are you still using old versions of lfs http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/7.2/index.html
why not build the latest

Use Ubuntu 12.04 to build LFS 7.2? Yes you can.

spiky0011 10-28-2012 03:24 AM

Yes

Just make sure the host is compliant
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/.../hostreqs.html
If unsure post output of script here,
I have just completed lfs 7.2 using that host

1 step behind again

Should I use 32 bit or 64 bit Ubuntu ?

spiky0011 10-28-2012 03:28 AM

They both will work although I have only used 32bit

If your hardware supports 64 bit I would choose to use that, otherwise use a 32 bit version. It doesn't matter when building LFS, both are taken into account when building.
