Halt on boot

Now here's one I have't seen reported before -

on booting LFS I get

'attribute block 295417 has reference count 4, should be 1.
The boot cannot continue until the system administrator has fixed this problem.'

Since I am the system administrator I feel a certain responsibility for this. Unfortunatley (as the well known phrase states) I need to bang this nail into the wall but I only have a banana - would somebody kindly hand me a hammer.

Thanks
