GRUB2 doesn't recognize grub.cfg file

Hello,

I just finished putting LFS together, and for some reason, GRUB2 doesn't recognize the grub.cfg file by default, and I will have to specify the grub conf file. I installed grub2 instead of grub 0.97. I however CAN boot into my LFS by either loading the conf file after grub boots, or by calling the boot commands directly, I'm just not sure why grub doesn't recognize the conf file right now. If you need more info, I will tell you.

EDIT: Actually, I can't seem to use the config file either. Maybe it's just because I used the wrong syntax.

Hi,

Maybe this will helps: LFS hints: Grub2

BTW: You mention grub 0.97. Which LFS version are you building? The current stable version (LFS 6.6) already uses grub2....

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I actually switched to GRUB 0.97, it's worked for me for years.
