GNOME is not running with startx command in BLFS


hii
I m using BLFS-7.6 and just have completed chapter-31 GNOME Appliction....
On executing startx command i m not getting Gnome GUI instead 3 terminals along with a clock comes....below i have attached the screenshoot of what i m getting after executing startx ..
Please guide me to resolve this problum....

Did you setup the .xinitrc as you were instructed?

Um.... in GNOME check the system settings application for the Display applet, then look for Screen Resolution.

I haven't used GNOME in ages so I wouldn't know.

If you made a systemwide xorg.conf as my hint stickied on the forum pointed out, it should automatically have your resolution set at the maximum allowable.
