glibc-2.7 compilation error


Hi All.

Try to use development book for make new LFS and have some problem on 5.6:

a - io/lstat64.oS
a - io/fstatat.oS
a - io/fstatat64.oS
a - io/mknod.oS
a - io/mknodat.oS
a - debug/warning-nop.oS
a - debug/stack_chk_fail_local.oS
: /mnt/lfs/sources/glibc-build/libc_nonshared.a
gcc -B/tools/bin/ -nostdlib -nostartfiles -r -o /mnt/lfs/sources/glibc-build/libc_pic.os \
-Wl,-d -Wl,--whole-archive /mnt/lfs/sources/glibc-build/libc_pic.a

Base system: Fedora 7, i586 (Pentuim MMX)

Anyone know how to solve this and make glibc-2.7 without errors ?

glibc building error

Have you seen the errata? http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/errata/6.2/

I had a similar error msg and it solved it. I couldn't tell you if it's the exact same msg though.

I had the same problem. Just install glibc as described in the development version and that should fix it.
