Hi all,

first of all I am new to this forum but not totally new to linux (have used RH 5.1 and 7.? and also Suse 9.1). Now I am trying to build a LFS on my PII, 350MHz, 96MB

So far everything has went well, and the minor mistakes I made could be solved by going through the archives of the lfs-list and searching here.

Unfortunatly now I am stuck at chapter 6.11 from the book (V6.1.1). My host is the according LifeCD

After:

make -k check >glibc-check-log 2>&1

grep Error glibc-check-log

I got:

Make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/posix/bug-regex24.out] Error 1
Make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/posix/tst-regex2.out] Error 1
Make[2]: [/sources/glibc/posix/annexc.out] Error 1 (ignored)
Make[1]: *** [posix/tests] Error 2
make: *** [check] Error 2

I've checked the lfs-archives back till january 2005 and read every post about glibc, and found that annexc.out can be ignored (like it says)
but I don't know about the other two. Couldn't find a hint here also.

Can some please shed a light on this for me?

Don't take my word for it, but it is possible that everything is working fine and the tests failed due to timeout errors. This can occur on slower, older hardware like a 350Mhz PII. If there nothing on the net about these then you have to continue the build and cross your fingers, it should be obvious further into chapter 6 whether this is a timeout or not.
