Im not sure exactly what you mean when you say that but to be honest you might want to use Slackware for a bit longer if understanding the partitioning as it is layed out in LFS is a bit confusing for you.
Otherwise....hmm, the book seems pretty clear to me. You have to make a new partition that (for ease of use while reading the book) you should name lfs. If I remember correctly, the book's example is /mnt/lfs. Of course you want to make a new user and you want to give that user access to the new /mnt/lfs partition. If you are confused about this, then I think that LFS is still something that will be too difficult for you. I hate to say that....
