Firmware download and install help 8.2 lfs

Hi Everyone,
Been looking everywhere on how to download network firmware
and I was able to clone the git repository .
I downloaded it to sources and can't figure out what to do
from there with it. I need the firmware for my ethernet card
it appears. RTL8101/2/6E.I have the complete linux-firmware
cloned to sources. I would be very grateful for any directions.
I haven't gave up yet after all these days and hours reading ad trying
different things to get a net connection.
Thanks for reading

Hey Keith, How you doing.
When I cloned it the file is "linux-firmware" . I didn't have to unzip it. I tried to copy it
to /lib/firmware with cp -r linux-firmware /lib/firmware but it fails. Does copying the file also install it?
Thanks for your time
