Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide

This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter. For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. rickseiden LQ Newbie Registered: Oct 2004 Posts: 22 Rep:	Expect install issue I got through everything up to Expect without a problem (this time through), and now I'm facing a new error: checking if we are running Linux... yes checking for strchr... (cached) yes checking for stdlib.h... (cached) yes checking type of library to build... both shared and unshared creating ./config.status mv: cannot move `conftest.tail' to `conftest.vals': No such file or directory That last line just repeats over and over again. I'm jusing LFS 5.1 on Mandrake 9.2 running on VMWare. Thanks for any hints! Rick Seiden Last edited by rickseiden; 11-01-2004 at 09:12 PM.
