Hello, I'm trying to prepare for compilation the package texinfo-6.1 by typing:
./configure --prefix=/tools
However, after a few moments an error appears saying:
configure: error: perl >= 5.7.3 with Encode required by Texinfo
Because, it's not the first time that a warning like that appears initially I thought of ignoring it an compile the package. Then it says that "no makefile found".
I have installed Perl package some time ago, but I don't understand what happens.
Can someone help me, please?
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 in a VM and I'm using the LFS 7.9 (last version)
