Hi...

.... and welcome to LQ.

We need a bit more information before we can (hopefully) help you.

- Are you trying to build LFS 6.3?
- Which chapter are you trying to do (5.4 gcc - pass 1 / 5.11 gcc pass 2 or 6.12 gcc)?
- Which base sytem are you using?
- Did you have any trouble in the chapters before gcc?
- Can you post the command you executed and the (relevant) part of the output that shows the error?

Just a few things that came to mind, but without these answering your question will be kinda hard

Hi,

@baoxam: You should start a new thread for your questions (even though the mentioned problem looks the same). This is the second time you add your question to a thread that is started by somebody else.

This is 'Not Done' and could be seen as thread hijacking. And besides, if you start your own thread it also gets the attention it deserves.

Ok, about your question: I think that some extra info is needed:
- Did you do all the previous steps and did you encounter any problems (if so, how did you solve them)?
- Is fedora 8 suitable as a host system?

If all the previous steps went as planned, you could decide to do the make install step and the check that follows. If both of those don't generate any errors, you can continue (The LFS team does say that the mae test/check steps are not needed in chapter 5.....).

And: If you answer any of the above questions, please create a new thread with all the info

Hope this helps.
