Hi,

What are you actually trying to do? Is using lynx an example?

After downloading proto-7.6-1.wget and proto-7.6-1.md5, did you execute the following (From the Downloading Xorg Protocol Headers section):
Code:
mkdir proto &&
cd proto &&
grep -v '^#' ../proto-7.6-1.wget | wget -i- -c -B http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/individual/proto/ &&
md5sum -c ../proto-7.6-1.md5

lynx was a test.i'm exactly doing this section:
Code:
grep -v '^#' ../proto-7.6-1.wget | wget -i- -c -B http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/individual/proto/
wget could resolve the address but it couldn't connect to it.i'm getting timeout error
