Do you need to upgrade LFS?

I notice that LFS is releasing new versions now and then.
So how do you update your programs, kernels, etc when there is a new version out there?
Is there an easy way to know what have changed and you just have to re-compile those which are changed, or you will have to re-do all over again from scratch?

p/s I know there is a changelog page contained in every release but what should you do with the information?

You don't have to redo LFS when there are updates or updated packages. If you feel the need to update your system, just update the packages that you need to update, etc. At times you won't ever really need to update, only at times as well when there is a security vulnerability and such its wise to update then, etc.
