Do I really need these?

Ok I took a dependency list of my MAIN programs and none of them require it so I wondered if it really does.

Still trying to make a really small linux distro. My goal this time is for 20MB large.

Do I really need:

Gettext
Groff
Libtool
shadow
texinfo
GMP
MPFR

Ones such as gettext and libtool would have been used during builds on the system, so you could do without them in your distro.

Others such as texinfo, gmp, and mpfr wouldn't normally be installed unless you have maths related packages as part of the distro.

Some parts of groff are required by the man system, but the front end probably isn't.

Not sure what you mean by shadow; if you mean the shadow password system, then it is necessary for security reasons on a multiple login system.
