DHCPCD problems at startup

hi there,

i'm trying to setup dhcpcd in my blfs system but dhcp refuses to work...(properly). after trying and trying and trying i came up to this...

how can i execute each time the system starts the command

/sbin/dhcpcd

i want to know where to put it in order to be executed during the boot...

dhcpcd works but i have to execute the command myself it refuses to start during boot and i get the following message

Unable to process /etc/sysconfig/network-devices/ifconfig.eth0/dhcpcd . Either the SERVICE variable was not set or the specified service cannot be executed...

P.S. Is there some conflict with the dhclient? because i installed it too...

Thanks in advance!

try place it at the multiuser script usually at /etc/rc.d/*.M
what distro are you running?

eliadk,

What script do you run at start up? you can as well insert the basic command to load /sbin/dhcpd at boot time, or wherever 'dhcpd' is placed among your /bin folders.

Good luck.

What command do you run for dhcpcd? Do you run

Code:
dhcpcd
or something like
Code:
dhcpcd -d eth0
?

Have you read http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-error-622677/ ?
