desktop configuration file on blfs

i wanted to put an application file on desktop of blfs and i hav kde-3.4.1 .which file should i configure in order to put an application on desktop.

You mean, you want to create a shortcut to a program and place it on desktop ?

Right click on desktop and select New -> Link To Application.

Click on the Application tab and in the "Command" field type or browse for the application to which you want to create shortcut. Click OK and you're done.
