Creatng an Installable CD after building LFS
Hi all,
Am really happy to build my own distro using LFS and it is really gud having such an experience....but what is the point in creating my own distro and keeping it for myself??............so i thought if there was a way to package the built distro into a CD and give out as how RedHat, Mandrake and others are doing it.........that would the OWN DISTRO............i saw this link wherein the article of creating a "Bootable LFS CD" is present..
test.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/
i thnk it is of creating a LIVE CD..am i right??.........is there a way to create Installable LFS CD with partition managers and installer to install??
with regards,
C.C.Chakkaradeep

Well, most importantly, you'll need an installer script. Then you basically just need a LiveCD that runs the installer.

A livecd with the installer for your LFS system would allow others to install said LFS system.

Knoppix is a live CD which simply happens to have an install script. It isn't an installation CD. There are scripts around which scan your root partition an build a live CD out of it but I can't recall any names.
