Configuration on i686-pc-linux-gnuoldld not supported

Hi, i'm currently compiling GCC-4.0.3 during the "building LFS system" part. LFS 6.2.
I did all the sed substitutions the book told me to, then executed configure with all those switches. And during make there is an error:

Code:
checking for struct tms... yes
checking for clock_t... yes
checking for ./preinit_array/.init_array/.finiarray support... yes
checking if mkdir takes one argument... no
*** Configuration on i686-pc-linux-gnuoldld not supported
make: *** [configure-gcc] Error 1
can anyone help, please?
