Wink compiling on which machine

Hi,
I'm intending to compile LFS on a computer I have at home. At the moment, it's running Slackware. My question is: is it easier (and indeed should I) compile it all on a separate partition on the computer i want it on eventually, or should I compile it on a separate machine, and then move it over. Indeed, is that possible?
Any help much appreciated,
Andy

Easiest way I know of and recommended way would be to create it on a separate partition. Then from there if decided you could move over to another machine, etc.
But yes, create it on its own partition, you might run into less trouble that way, etc.
