Compile error with Version GIT-20110130-x86_64-Multilib

I'm trying to compile Version GIT-20110130-x86_64-Multilib,
and following the book. At mpfr-3.0.0 there is configure error,
"C compiler cannot create executables".

After look in config.log, I found something like this:

gcc: unknown parameter "-Wl,-rpath,/cross-tools/lib"

What I'm doing wrong?

Host machine: laptop Asus A8Jn, Core2Duo
Host system: lfslivecd-x86_64-6.3-r2145.iso

I wanted to have svn version, because stable version is quite old, from 2007...

Please post a link to the book that you are following. Which chapter is it?
Also post the exact commands that you issued.

gcc: unknown parameter "-Wl,-rpath,/cross-tools/lib"

This looks suspicious. But I don't know what lead to the construction of this parameter. So you will also have to post a bit more of the output before the error occurred.
