cloning (somewhat) my lfs system

Ive got my LFS system pretty much done. i have a server, i want to copy my lfs on it.
Here is what i did so far. I want to know if it can/will work or am i goin to have some serious issue?

#cd / && tar -cvf lfs.tar -C "some output file"
i have 2 disk on the server i copied the tarball on the second disk which holds shared files.

I was thinking of booting with lfs livecd, formating hda (where the system has to go), the mkfs.reiser4 /dev/hda (same file system as the original).
Then edit fstab, /etc/sysconfig/networks-device/...., grub menu.
Then reinstall grub on MBR and reboot.

Should work fine.

One thing, add -p option to your tar command so permissions are preserved. Otherwise you will have to change them manually after extracting. Yuck!

worked perfectly and for future reference for other people u can also choose a diffent filesystem ( at least reiser4 > reiserfs ) although i had to compress /usr, /tmp & /var seperatly, for some reason it did not compile those.
I also had a bit of a hard time reinstalling grub from lfs livecd 6.1, So i used SystemRescue and did it without a problem.
