can i access internet through live cd

can any1 tell me whether i can access the internet using live cd
if yes then
how do i set proxy for accessing?

Configure in the Network setting software on the live cd. Some live-cd have on the go internet connection.

hey thnx for the hint...when i went through the documentation of live cd,i found a command called "net-setup" and then i just followed....completed it....by setting the proxy in browser(Edit>>preference>>advance>>proxies)i am able to access the internet.....
