build lfs to work in all x86 machines
Hello
I am just wondering, I want to do a live cd using lfs because it explains how to do the things and also explains why we do them and it has a educational level and theoretic background that I really need. I have this project that is purely pedagogic.
the project is to make a live cd, include a browser, open office and a mail client it also has to feature a firewall dns and dhcp to connect to an internet proxy using ssl. the firewall must be very well configured
the addition of these features i believe concern BLFS. but I would like before embarking on this project to know how make lfs perfect live cd to boot in any machine (of course I know of isolinux or syslinux) and the most important thing i want is to have the greatest support for wired network adapters, graphic cards and keyboard mouse and usb.
i want to use debian but as far as I understand but what would be the incidence of having debian or the lfs live cd as the host? if i have debian will it have the debian only commands available such as update-rc.d dpkg, etc.
thank you very much for your help. I have a small time frame to try and accomplish this task. so any hints, which can't be found in lfs official books would be really opportune
