blfs and lfs?

whats the difference between BLFS and LFS?
thanks.

LFS is the base system, it's all that is needed to build BLFS system basically. It's the basic development packages, BASH, GCC, and other needed packages for installing files. it's LINUX FROM SCRATCH = LFS

BLFS is everything after that, like X, libs, package systems and all, it's BEYOND LINUX FROM SCRATCH = BLFS

Cool

thanks and regards.

That big one contains all of the files needed, I just used this as its a lot easier than downloading all the other files.

thanks a lot dude.
but i cant because i am downloading from a PCI modem :D.
you need a heart like rock to download over 100 MB at the speed of 2kb/s .

Oh man! There is another option for you. There's a thread floating around with links to online stores that "sell" the latest LFS CD's for real cheap. Anyway, check www.cheapbytes.com or do a search on here and you should find it.

This is only if you don't want to spend the long time downloading it.

Cool
